Volunteer Programs: CCNV provides numerous opportunities for individuals and groups who would like to be more active in their community. By becoming involved with the under-privileged, under-served, poor, or needy, they assist us in providing services to the homeless in the Washington DC area.
During the last 30 years, we have had nearly 200,000 people come through our doors as volunteers. Offering their time, materials, and initiative to help provide services to the area homeless and poor. |

Alternative Break Program The Alternative Break program allows College Students the opportunity to volunteer their time providing services to communities during their Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter breaks. These service minded groups are given the opportunity to immerse themselves in an extended volunteer program, providing all manner of services to the Washington DC homeless and needy. While their friends are in Florida, these groups are spending their time volunteering with us, and many of the other service providers in the area. |
|
Day of Service Individual and Group: An opportunity for interested and concerned individuals and groups to offer their time and effort to assist us with providing services we do not always have staff available to perform. These services may include receiving and sorting of incoming donations, sanitizing and cleaning of common areas, picking up trash around the building, light moving and carrying, light office work, or perhaps providing instruction in an area of expertise. If your group is considering a project, please feel free to contact us, as we may be able to include or accommodate you in another way. |
