The CCNV’s mission is to ensure that the rights of the homeless and poor are not infringed upon, and that every person has access to life’s basic essentials – food, shelter, clothing and medical care.
The CCNV is also committed to protecting the rights of the homeless, advocating on behalf of the underserved and preparing homeless men and women to re-enter into mainstream society as skilled and productive citizens.

September 11, 2010 - The CCNV 40th Anniversary Celebration
- When: Saturday, September 11, 2010s from 10 AM to 4 PM
- Where: The CCNV 425 2nd Street, NW (Back parking lot)
- Why: To celebrate 40 years of The CCNV and to commemorate the life of Mitch Snyder on the 20th anniversary of his passing.
Events planned: Special guest speakers, Food and drinks will be available, Health Fair with various screenings to the public, Awards Ceremony, 6 live Musical acts and local radio DJ as our MC.
Restaurant Donations – we need restaurants to provide food and beverages for the day of this event
Corporate Donations – we are in need of corporate donations to help underwrite this event
Health Care Providers – if you are a health care provider and can either donate materials or your time, please contact us.
Volunteers Needed – volunteers are needed for planning of the event and for the day of the event
We are seeking volunteers for Friday, September 10th to prepare the site for our event. We need volunteers to mow grass, trim and pull weeds, sweep the lot, pick-up trash and for general cleaning in the public areas of The CCNV.
